Casa Bahia, Luxury Villa in Las Salinas, Cabo Rojo, PR

CASA BAHIA
Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico

[re·treat]: \ri-ˈtrēt\, noun
1: an act or process of withdrawing, especially from what is difficult, dangerous, or disagreeable
2: a place of privacy or safety : a refuge
3: a period of group withdrawal for meditation, study, or instruction

If ever there was a place in this world that embodied the definition of “retreat” as defined above, it is Cabo Rojo’s Casa Bahia. Offering incomparable beauty, peace and seclusion within the confines of a three thousand acre migratory bird sanctuary, Casa Bahia caters to large families or small groups that seek to experience Puerto Rico’s unspoiled tropical splendor in complete privacy.
La Playuela Beach
This four million dollar eco-property is perfectly situated along Cabo Rojo’s Lighthouse route, with the sea as it’s backdrop and three of the most beautiful (and undiscovered) beaches on the island: La Playuela, Punta Aguila and Combate. La Playuela Beach was named one of the Top Ten Beaches in the US by Travel and Leisure Magazine.
For the adventurous, there is walking, biking, hiking, sailing, boating, fishing and bird watching. For the socially-minded, Casa Bahia is within driving distance of the bars and nightlife of Combate, the fine dining of Joyuda and Puerto Real, and the cosmopolitan flair of Mayaguez. La Parguera, which is about half an hour away, offers its Bio-luminescent Bay and proudly bears its moniker as the Sport-fishing Mecca of Puerto Rico.

Casa Bahia was built with comfort in mind, for a large family to enjoy; there are enough beds for 20 persons. The Main House boasts an extra-large Master Bedroom with living room and en suite bath and six bedrooms with private baths. There are two additional full baths, one on each floor. A small cottage (the "Sunset Cottage") on the premises offers two more bedrooms and a bath. Sunset Cottage is not included in the rental, but can be added when renting the Main house. It cannot be rented alone. Casa Bahia boasts three kitchens for your culinary pleasures.
Casa Bahia is available for rent for private or corporate events, or rental by the week or month. Overnight rental includes bedroom maid service. Other services offered, but not included in the rental price are: cook or Chef services, private catering, weddings, event production, tours, chauffeur services, limo services, and helicopter rides. A minimum stay of two nights is required.

Pier in back of the house

Through the back fence there is access to Punta Aguila Beach, which is part of the US Fish and Wildlife Preserve area. There is a small pier that can be used to launch kayaks for day trips. Besides being a haven for migrating birds, Punta Aguila is a known nesting place for the Leatherback turtle. Underwater, there are extensive Thalassia grass beds which are a primary feeding ground for small fish and turtle hatchlings.

Walk up the front stairs onto a broad porch which leads into the foyer, with the dining room and living room on the left and the kitchen on the right.

As you walk out to the back, you come into the outdoor living room and gardens.
